Mesotherapy is a medical technique, devised over 60 years ago, which involves an injection of a specially-prepared mixture of minerals, vitamins and Plate-rich plasmaplaced just millimeters under the skin.
As we age, our skin loses minerals, vitamins and amino acids – along with hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy simply replaces these lost nutrients by injecting a tiny volume of specially prepared nutrients in the affected area.
It is claimed that injecting more hyaluronic acid into the dermal layers (just below the surface of the skin) helps stimulate collagen production, which in turn improves skintone and helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
What does the treatment entail?
Micro-injections by a computer controlled Vital Injector are, delivered for one to three treatment courses. When the desired effects are achieved, you will require a maintenance program about every 6 to 9 months.
You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment, so there is very little downtime.
Is it safe?
We use a device that deposits set amounts of product in a completely painless and controlled way.
Fine needles are used to help keep any pain – which is generally only minor and short-lived – to a minimum. Possible side-effects are small bruises which vanish in a few days, and a little swelling in the injected area which remains for about 12 to 36 hours.
Some people may experience an allergic reaction to the products used, although this is a rare occurrence.
What should you do after a Mesotherapy treatment?
No specific advice is usually given.
You should, however, contact us immediately if you notice any signs of pain or inflammation in the area treated.
